Clear Out for Cransley!
Turn your clutter into care
Is your wardrobe bursting? Cupboards overflowing? Shelves stacked with things you no longer use or love? Now is the perfect time for a clear out – and your unwanted items could help make ‘every moment matter’ for local families in need of hospice care and support.
Clothing, shoes, accessories, toys, books, homewares… the things that no longer serve you could be transformed into vital funds when donated to us! And what’s more, if you are able to sign up to Gift Aid when you drop off your items, your donations could be worth 25% more to us, at no cost to you!
You can find out more about what we can accept, and when and how you can drop them off to us on the retail pages of our website Clear Out For Cransley
We’re also excited to share with you that last month, we trialled something new — our very first ‘Clear Out for Cransley’ collection service in the NN9 and NN10 postcode areas.
We were overwhelmed by the response of the incredible supporters we have in the area. An fantastic 21 households pre-registered for a doorstep collection with us. The result?
Over 100 bags of donations.
More than three pallets filled with pre-loved treasures.
And countless items given a second life.
The response was simply amazing.
We were also incredibly grateful for the support of Primark, who kindly donated warehouse space so we could sort and store the generous donations. Even more heart-warming was the enthusiasm of several Primark team members, who volunteered their time to help us sort through the goods and prepare them for sale in our two retail stores in Kettering.
Every bag donated helps fund specialist hospice care for people across North Northamptonshire who need comfort, dignity and support at the end of life. What might be clutter to you becomes compassion for someone else.
Following the success of this initial trial, we hope that we might be able to make occasional curbside collections a permanent part of our retail support towards the end of the year. Watch this space!
So, as we step into a new season, why not:
- Clear out the wardrobe
- Tackle the toy cupboard
- Sort through the bookshelves
- Declutter the spare room
Set aside the items you no longer need — and let them do something extraordinary.
Your pre-loved items can help us continue to be there for local families when they need us most. Because sometimes, the simplest act — clearing a little space at home — can create something truly meaningful for someone else.
Thank you for supporting Cransley Hospice Trust in every way you can.
