Walk with us for ‘GO GREEN’ this October!💚
New for 2026 – the Go Green Walk!
Join us in going GREEN (Green for Cransley!) during Hospice Care Week between the 5th and 11th October 2026.
Hospice Care Week is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the importance of hospice care nationwide – and the best way to do this is by getting involved in our Go Green for Cransley campaign. Together with your support, we’re aiming to raise an incredible £18,000 during GO GREEN week to fund a better end of life experience for people with a life-limiting illness in our community.
On Sunday 11th October at 11am, Walk along the ‘Green Way‘ from Stanwick Lakes to Rushden Lakes. Bring your family, friends, children and even the dog! It’s free to take part, we simply ask that you donate what you can. Plus, the first 100 people to register will receive a free children’s goodie bag!
Walk 5K from Stanwick Lakes to Rushden, or if you’re feeling more adventurous, challenge yourself to the 10K route and make the return journey back to Stanwick Lakes.
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Yusen Logistics, more vital donations will support end of life care in north northamptonshire.
Important Information: Parking & Getting Back
The Go Green Walk offers two options: a 5K route (Stanwick Lakes to Rushden Lakes) and a 10K route (Stanwick Lakes to Rushden Lakes and back).
If you are only taking on the 5K option, please note that Cransley Hospice Trust is not providing transport back to Stanwick Lakes. You will need to arrange your own return journey if you park at Stanwick Lakes.
To help you plan, here are a few easy options:
- Car Share / Drop-Off: Arrange to park a vehicle at Rushden Lakes ahead of time, or ask a family member or friend to pick you up at Rushden Lakes once you finish if you are doing 5K.
- Public Transport or Taxis: Local taxi services and bus routes operate in the area if you prefer to arrange independent travel back.
- Walk back with us to complete 10K: If you are walking 10K with us, we will be taking a short break when we reach Rushden Lakes to allow time for use of facilities and refreshments, we will have a walking leader to guide you back to Stanwick Lakes but if you are happy to proceed on your own, you are more than welcome to head back as soon as you are ready.
Please Note: All participants are responsible for their own safety, personal timings, and transport arrangements. If you decide to stop for refreshments or shopping at Rushden Lakes before heading back, please keep in mind that you will be responsible for your own return route.
So, what are you waiting for? Sign up and make a donation today to take part in the GO GREEN Walk.
