Jail & Bail put the fun in fundraising!

‘Locked up’ for a good cause of course!

If you are a Tesco shopper, you may have noticed some suspicious activity recently, as we locked up five local scoundrels for our ‘Jail & Bail’ event outside Tesco, Kettering on Friday 31st July. The day was a hilarious and uplifting reminder of what can be achieved when people come together for a good cause, and we are delighted to have raised an astonishing £10,497!

We would like to say a huge thank you to our five ‘convicts’ for their good humour and incredible fundraising efforts.

Matt Taylor, Heritage Manager for North Northamptonshire Council, who was locked up for ‘aggravated cheerfulness’, said:

“It was a privilege to take part in the Jail & Bail event and help raise vital funds for Cransley Hospice Trust. Having seen the incredible care, dignity and compassion the hospice provides to people and families during some of life’s most difficult moments, I know just how important its work is. The challenges and moments of embarrassment we faced were a small price to pay for such an amazing cause. Cransley Hospice can only continue making this difference with the support of the community, so I would encourage everyone to get involved however they can.”
