“My entire working life was spent in the NHS – Hospital Doctor, General Practitioner, Macmillan Fellow and then finally Consultant in Palliative Medicine. For much of that time I was responsible for the ongoing education of doctors, initially as course organiser for GP training and later as Oxford University Clinical Tutor.”
“It was while working as a Consultant I was responsible for the formation of Cransley Hospice. I am Patron to Northamptonshire Motor Neuron Disease Association and Vice President of Parkinson’s UK Kettering. In 2006 I was ordained Priest in the Anglican Church.”
Chris is a chartered accountant with experience in the charity sector and in finance transformation and systems / process improvement. He has been a Trustee of Cransley Hospice Trust since 2017 and lives in Kettering with his family.
Ros graduated from Southampton with a B.Sc. in Physiology and Biochemistry, and then worked in various management roles for Marks & Spencer for 30 years. From here she was seconded to the Cabinet Office to review complaint handling within government departments. She had a further secondment as Director of Field Operations for Citizens Advice.
She spent the later years of her career working with various government departments, on dispute resolution and complaint handling. She returned to study in 2010, completing a BA in philosophy and a Ph D in medical ethics. She lives in a village in North Northamptonshire.
Paul is an experienced General Manager and Non-Executive Director, with an MBA from Cranfield University Business School. With a bachelor’s degree in music from Hull University and an early career in UK Manufacturing and Human Resources Management, he has held a number of senior executive positions in the international fashion/consumer sector.
Andy is educated to Master level in HR and Employment Law and Chartered Status Member or the CIPD. A commercially astute and self-motivated HR professional, he has 13 years of sound generalist experience in fast paced multi-site environments.
Andy has a strong record of coaching and developing others and experience of business partnering Managing Directors and Functional Directors across various disciplines including Supply Chain, Commercial, Category, Marketing, Multi-Channel, Pricing and Branch Operations.
Deirdre retired after working as a consultant in audiovestibular medicine at the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital in London for over 30 years.
She has held a variety of management, quality assurance and teaching roles including clinical director and honorary senior lecturer in UCL, has undertaken formal functional evaluations of departments at other major teaching hospitals and has served on a number of national committees, both professional and charitable.
She was privileged to meet Dame Cicely Saunders, the founder of the hospice movement (“there is so much more to be done”), many years ago. Deirdre lives in a very small village in North Northamptonshire.
Felix leads the national Special Situations Merger & Acquisitions practice for a leading restructuring advisory boutique firm, supporting businesses undergoing transformational change. He has 20 years’ of experience as an advisor, lender and investor.
Felix lives with his family just outside Kettering and can regularly be seen at Kettering train station commuting into London.
Katie has over 15 years’ accountancy experience and has supported a variety of clients, including many charities, in that time. She is the Chief Finance Officer for a local multi academy trust and in her spare time can regularly be seen volunteering at Cransley Hospice Trust events. Katie lives with her family in a small town close to Kettering.
Kerry is a commercial solicitor with over 15 years’ post qualification experience. She has worked across many different sectors and industries, including housing, construction and manufacturing, and currently works in-house for an industrial software company. Kerry lives in Kettering with her husband and children.
Keith has worked in Banking & Finance for over 40 years, with experience in Business & Personal Banking as well as working at the Global Head Office. In his current role as a Chartered Wealth Manager, he manages the financial affairs of a diverse range of high-net-worth clients.
Keith lives in a small town close to Kettering, is married with two grown up sons and one grandson.
Tracy has worked in the education sector for over 25 years having been a headteacher in the primary sector, a Senior His Majesty’s Inspector for Ofsted and is currently the Ofsted Deputy Director of Schools and Early Education. Tracy has been involved in central policy for inspection and liaising with the department for education to implement education frameworks. Through the policy work Tracy has worked across schools, early years settings, and further education and skills providers. Tracy’s inspection and quality assurance experience includes schools, including independent schools, teacher training and development, and area special needs inspections.
Tracy lives in a village just outside Kettering. She joined Cransley Hospice Trust in July 2025.
Dawn is a Project Manager for the Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Autism Collaborative for Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Previous to this role, she gained over 25 years of experience in the voluntary sector, leading projects that support unpaid carers and people with long-term health conditions.
Dawn has played a key role in Northamptonshire’s system wide Ageing Well programme, recognised nationally as an area of good practice and winner of a Health Service Journal award for collaboration.
Despite wider thinking and planning, Dawn will always consider what this means to the person receiving the service and how it is truly person centred.
Dawn lives near Kettering with family and a very cute dog called Bertie.
Zoe is an experienced Marketing Manager with over eight years of professional experience in the private sector, bringing a strong foundation in strategic communications, brand development, and audience engagement. In 2023, she transitioned into the third sector to lead marketing for a dog rescue charity, where she combines her professional expertise with her passion for animal welfare and community impact.
Zoe is passionate about using creative, purpose-driven marketing to champion causes that make a meaningful difference. As a Trustee, she looks forward to contributing her skills to support the organisation’s mission and future growth.
Originally from Corby, Zoe maintains strong family and friendship ties to the area, despite having made Lincoln her home since 2009 where she currently lives with her family.
